The siege of Shailvascq

The Fist of Mackowskill managed to hold back the advancing Moledurssan force long enough that the Lord of Shailvascq made peace with the local Chitonet Order, offering them an alliance against the violent Blue clansmen.

The Greyhounds

Lord Moledurssan hired a group of mercenaries for his fight against the Green clansmen of Shailvascq. These men are proud of not being affiliated with any of the four clans, and wear dark grey/black clothing to emphasize that.

During the Methorin wars in Jackewline, an equivalent of the medieval era, the four Jackewlinese clans were effectively ruled by the eight great houses. During the wars, two rival houses, the Moledurssan of the blue clans and Maered of the greens went extinct. But at the start of the war, House Moledurssan was going strong and they launched a large (in contemporary measure) offensive against the Green castle of Shailvascq.

I am currently gaming this small campaign using Inter Arma as the rules allow a super fast setup and play. I'm always playing out a story and allow the luck factor of combat direct it more or less. 

Zvezda Samurai Battles

Three boxes' worth of Zvezda figures for the Samurai Battles board game. They were quite expensive but there are a bunch of game-specific items on the sprues. The figures are all multi-part and can be built easily.

I plan on using them with SDS and, perhaps at a later date, Lion Rampant. It's going to take a while to build up bigger armies, especially considering the fact that at this time I do not want to expand this part of the collection.

SBH games

Now I've had terrain and figures in luxurious amounts - it was time for some gaming. I settled with SBH as you could have guessed from the previous post - the core rules are very simple and easy to use. 

So we have had 3 warbands and decided that every team will fight both others.

I was in a medieval mood so I stripped most of my old collection and started repainting them. These are the first lot for Song of Blades and Heroes.

Methorin Wars - Dorrosean Takes Guardsburg

On a bright late spring day, the armies of Dorrosean were laying siege to the easternmost Jackewlinese fort of Guardsburg, when the King of Jackewline's army showed up from the north, taking the Qalturi road.

These are the finished ones complete with basing. 

5-5 green, red and blue, 4 yellow (the whole bunch is lacking two painted earlier as singles).

More knights

Finished two more of the Zvezda HYW set. These are painted as a House Maered (green and white colors) and House Maquirech (green and black colors) knight. I'm slowly working on a banner/color combination for each greater and lesser House (as well as some names) for a Jackewlinese setting.

From the rear. I've spent quite a lot of time doing these two, more highlights etc. on both the figs and the horses. Really like how the white half of the coat came out, also the horses are really great.
