This time it's a conversion, a Waterloo1815 officer on a Zvezda nag with an Italeri hat - representing none other than the famous Marshal Lasalle, inspired by two paintings of him, at the head of a cavalry charge, holding his pipe.
The figure originally was a representation of the Prince of Orange at Waterloo, based on a painting of him, but obivously I could have little use of it - I may talk about my aversion to the Greatest Battle of All Times™ later.
The figure was painted using the standard method, with a second layer of highlights added to the saddle cloth, the blue pelisse and the red pants. The pipe is made from GS.
Lovely conversion András.

ReplyDeleteI have mixed feelings about Waterloo as well. But as always the History of the English Speaking Peoples highly overrated.
Thanks - it's more about 1/72 figure production than anything else.
DeleteLaSalle was always such an interesting character. Well done!
