JWI Green Royal Guard

You can inspect the previous paint job here. This was done in enamels, while not particularly bad I felt the need to improve as these figures deserve the effort.

Have painted all 19 of them but here are only half a dozen representing the whole lot.

Instead of Umber shade I used a Vallejo black wash this time, have to work on the dilution (a lot more thinned version was applied to the Samurai I'm currently painting).

Finished green Guard Grenadier regiment

These 24 figs were finished on Sunday. This means the whole lot of Zvezda's Napoleonic Russian Grenadiers set is painted and based.

A little bit darker than the previous one, or a little bit more war-torn.

Finished Green Guard Grenadiers

18 figs of the 42 completed and based. These were the last ones to finish before I managed to flick up my acrylic varnish. Don't know when it will come to the rest as I'm not really in the mood for painting more.

Light infantry on the flanks as they should be. I'll combine two more sets later, one line infantry (white breeches, no plumes) and one light infantry (green shako ornaments, green breeches). The Zvezda figs are always great and this box is one of their most excellent work.

Here's a welcome to Headologist from 'Do You Have A Flag?', thanks for dropping by!

JCW Generals (and officers) - Chovain Siarad Aldarren

I'm still not sure when is the best time to post, but here it goes anyway.
Fig - Zvezda 'Napoleonic Russian heavy infantry - grenadiers'

Chovain Siarad Aldarren taq-Dirongarten of the green clans was born in 10570 in the city after his taqnehn  was given (quasi-house name as it goes with the lesser houses), and lived the life of a gentry there until the age of 20, occasionally visiting his northern estate of Alderra. He joined the army just before the disastrous events of the First Escape and the destruction of the kingdom. He bought a rank of a Captain and raised a fusilier company (after winning a fortune from Lord Nolvar in a night of card playing). The sudden act of patriotism later taught him the fact that he's a good commander on the field.

The night shift! - Finished products

Finished earlier these'uns with dipping and basing, have a look.
Zvezda grenadiers here - the base of the mould is quite big so they don't fit that well. I used a lighter brown tone on the bases of these, while the other half (the three 30YW and the one knight)

Here the ones from the 'Zvezda Austrian musketeers and pikemen' set. The dip eases the contrast where the highlighting is too much and adds a bit more depth on a lighter colored surface.

Here goes a welcome to Ender from Ender's Games, thanks for following!

Finished units- Jackewlinese green Mounted Chasseurss

Well these were finished a week ago but as I already mentioned I forgot the photos. Second batch of the Italeri Prussian Garde du Corps - the green clans' Mounted Chasseurs are considered as heavy cavalry.

Definitely less shading on these, still need to find the correct amount to use.

Finished units - green clans' Royal Guard heavy cavalry

Cut off the upper half of the photo. The unit's 19 stands strong, the horses are based on a 15mm*35mm paper board.

Macro of the line. The horses are all grey but with different patterns.

Finished units - Green clans artillery

Well there we are, finally both warfaring sides have their guns set.

Both guns' barrels can be changed. It's a light field cannon on this one (made of scratch and wheels of the Italeri French artillery's limber)

Macro of the howitzer.

This battery will take part of my winter campaign attached to Col. Maquirech's foot regiment. Keep following the separate page; the Dorroseani march on, and the fight continues!
