Cossacks: Back to War screenshots (again)

A tiny screenshot selection as a filler until I return home and can post more of what I'm painting.

Here, Polish winged hussars striking on Cossacks. Speaking of which, I want to do some winged hussars in larger scale than 1/72 (preferably 28mm as 54s are too big!) but can't decide which ones to order, so many choices!

This ship has 1500+ kills (and gathered a few more later), as I said earlier the AI can be flippin' stupid at times.

Some fillers again

I'm working on the JCW/JWI rules again, planning to translate it to English and offer it for review/critics of the greater public, huh. Busy studying again, but will be free after tomorrow afternoon.

Features to be added to the rules:
  • Reworking the charts and structure of the text
  • Smoke markers to reduce LOS
  • Secondary counter-fire (high-classified units when being attacked by more than one enemy units)
  • Forced march markers
  • Units being dismissed if falling below 50% of original crew
  • Fatigue demoted to optional level
  • Charge/countercharge/breakthrough mechanism
  • Losing formation when allied unit crosses line
Bought two boxes of 1/72s, Zvezda's SYW Prussian grenadiers (aka 'the huge guys') and GNW Russian artillery (I really like the commander with his wig), and a set of tools (clip/knife/rasp, packed in one and produced by Italeri) along with some paints which had been required (silver and matte white), too much money to be spent!

And here's a picture to go, of my Cossacks Bavarians (wat). Four minutes after the making of this screenshot, the enemy has been wiped out thanks to my tactical genius and a ship of the line covering the left flank. These AIs, they never learn.

More Minecraft filler

This fort I'm working on, this part's almost done except the interiors of the main tower.

More Cossacks screens

This is eventually a filler-like post as I'm not doing anything interesting till the 15th this month: there will be some major projects again after, containing the mentioned waters, mills, also roads and bridges, and planning to buy some of the sets I couldn't earlier.

My army in a player vs player scenario against my brother - we play via GameRanger. This time I'm Russian, and in need of massive firepower as the musketeers aren't good: so I added mounted dragoons to my infantry.

Screenshot selection for Cossacks - Back to War

I love this game because it is - mostly - realistic... well, not as the following up American Conquest or Napoleonic Wars, but it has a great variety of choices, even editor, where I can play my own little campaigns... The AI is quite dumb though (for a certain scale: like 2-3 AI players set to very hard are still beatable with 1 human player, but with more than 3 they simply overwhelm one).

An army ready to battle is always nicer than an army in a fight - at least because of the less smoke. There are overall three different formations for both cavalry and infantry.
