I am allowed to receive a sum directly from the university because there are three 'children' (or rather, non-wage earners) in my family. I have to apply for this allowance by filling a form online and adding various bits of IDs and official papers.
It turns out when deciding about my application, somebody f.ked up really bad and I have to appeal the decision to have a chance of seeing that money. (Footnote, it's required to do this every half-term, and I upload and fill the same bulls.t every half-term and there has never been a single bit of trouble.)
The sum I receive is usually spent on various living conditions such as food, urban transport tickets and dorm rent. It's quite fundamental in order to get my finances right. By the time the office that reviews and decides over my appeal, I will have to pay two months of dorm rent and unfortunatley I was quite expecting this money to arrive in time and bought some models and paints (in the grand scheme the money I spent on those wouldn't matter one bit about the rent).
I can and will get help from my parents and I'm also thinking about making money out of my stamp collection, but this is a really s.t situation that could have been avoided, had someone whose job it had been paid attention.
This crosses most of my plans for March but I'll keep doing what I can hobby-wise and pray for a decision in my favor.
We will kick off the WW2 Eastern front campaign, for which I am building various scratch items (including Soviet heavy artillery and a ship for Rudel to sink) and a bunch of planes. So it will mostly be gaming and less painty stuff.

Disappointing news, for sure. Hope your struggle against bureaucracy ends in a victory for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI messed up when I didn't triple check everything... Things such as clear conditions and noticing appliants in time are another business :)
Deleteit's the same in Italy, hold on!
ReplyDeleteThanks, it's something you can't get rid of.
DeleteTough times, Andras. I pray for your appeal to come through speedily.
ReplyDeleteThank you - I submitted it yesterday but it's going to take three weeks until it is reviewed.
