2026 Plans

A bit late to the party, but here goes.

I have begun the year kind of being busy with life, and according to the latest prophecies, this shall remain the same way, more of that anon.

With that in mind, I strictly set myself some limited goals, usually revolving around already existing parts of my figure collection.

Skirmish Projects
I'm reviving my Dark Nights in Trashburgh urban skirmish idea, using Flashing Steel and 17th century figures. I'm eyeing some Foundry Pirates for this purpose as we speak...
Anyway, this should lead to some laid-back scratch terrain building, which I like but tend to focus on painting figures too much.

On the same note, I'm experimenting with the idea of using Flashing Steel for small scale Italian Wars games as well, and already have a dozen Italians on single bases on the production line.

Other Existing Projects
I have a lot of 6mm Napoleonics, French and Austrian, which I'm aiming to paint during the first half of the year.

There's also the 1/1200 ADW/Mediterranean ships which I painted just recently and are ready to play a few games with.

My KiK Block Italian Wars campaign is also on the go, and fortunately requires little investment or time to play a few games.

I ordered 30-odd Foundry Cossacks so I've kind of got enough figures to wrap up that part of my 17th century collection.

Future Purchases
As you can see, smaller skirmish style games are in focus, so I will most likely buy figures (if any) that suit the theme, such as the aforementioned Foundry pirates, Wargames Atlantic villagers, Anno Domini 1666 charater figures and so on.

For the Dark Nights in Trashburgh project I'm thinking about Warbases MDF buildings, but that is a thing of the future.
