Battle Brother Captain Solidus Mercesius and Venerable Dreadnought Ladislaus Crassus

I finished two more of my salvaged Space Marines, bought used from the Troll Trader. They spent a few months in the stripping tub and turned out quite okay after the painting process.

They join my Turul Rangers custom chapter. I know technically the terminator guy is a lieutenant, not a captain, but he's humble enough.

Their basic colours are red, white and green. I used many thin layers of VMC Angel Green as a basis, followed by a glaze of the same colour but darkened a bit, and then picked out the highlighted areas.

I was really careful painting Captain Solidus to make him stand out of the rank and file figures, he even has a freehand on the scroll across his chest. He wields the relic bolter Porcoltus and the power sword Pacalus.

When painting was done I added a layer of matte finish to both figures, and then a glossy one over the various LEDs and other shiny parts.

For both figures I went with an industrial wasteland type base, with orange brown dirt, pink flocking and some rubble which I painted bright grey and then added a sepia wash, allowing it to pool thickly.
