Still working on the building, painted and fixed the windows... I usually paint the windows in metal color but thought this would do as well, some paint&pencil on them while the doors are painted brown.
To scale with an 1/72 fig.
The tower has a separate door.
Back side... Some windows didn't stay in their places, will fix them later.
And a wash on the Fricklander grenadiers and dragoons' faces, brings out the detail... Again, I usually do not do washes but managed these ones quite well, much more reliable than undercoating with light brown and highlighting with skin tones.
looking good some nice progress
ReplyDeleteThank you: nothing else to do so this one will be finished soon!
DeleteGreat progress Sir.
ReplyDeleteNice work: the building is showing more of it's proud heritage, and the trooper's does "pop" out after a wash!
ReplyDeleteThanks; I may do washes on the faces more frequently after this little experiment.
DeleteThought so: a pretty big building. As well as a mansion, it could be the 'Burgerhof' in a provincial capital, say. I really do like its versatility of design. I am very tempted to make something similar myself...
ReplyDeleteCheers,
