Finished units - yellow heavy dragoons

Almost lost one fig when mounting them, but he's come around in the end, so everything's fine. These are the Italeri Prussian Garde du Corps figs painted as yellow clans' heavy dragoons.

The only problem with these guys is the fact how rare they are, ordered them from the US. Another batch will be painted as green heavies.

Macro - there's somehow a much more poor light on this pic.

Command

The idea to use them as dragoons came from the fact that almost half of the figs hold a carbine; also seen examples here and there of converting them into various nations' units. They're fit both for early and late war battles.

  1. They've turned out well, rare as in expensive or just hard to find?

  2. Nicely done; the yellow looks great. I hope that your replacements arrive safely!

  4. I bought when Esci produced them. Very nice figures indeed, nicely painted. And I like it that you paint them as other units!

    1. Thanks! Sometimes my imagination just goes wild, probably that's why I don't paint more historical figs.
