The Emperor scores a victory

This was the third playtest of the Victorious Eagle Warfare rules, in which Napoleon's troops soundly thrashed their Austrian opponents. I do not have the OOBs, and only these two pictures, but they sort of give a feel of how intense the action was.

The French took heavy losses, which, for the third consecutive time, questions the accuracy of the game, but the Austrians were worse off. Their heavy artillery fought as rearguard, and this time their canister shot was the factor which saved the rest of the army from obliteration.
