I bought these hedges at the Lego show. The bases are from the Ikea cardboard box I still salvage for such uses. Originally for railroad modelling but as you can see below they are useful for most scales. You get a metre of hedgerows in the box, I cut them up to 10cm pieces.
Useful for boccages in Normandy or any larger hedges in 15mm.
They fit 1/72s pretty well too.
And 28mm as well.
These redoubts are made from homemade plasticine which dries after a while. I spiked them with pointy match sticks.
I have some 9mm pistol cartridge brass around which I collected a few years back, those shall make excellent defenses for the TYW guns with some greenstuff added.
Nice modeling. Cool and useful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'll be looking for other uses of the plasticine.
DeleteSome top quality model there - well done that man.
ReplyDeletevery nice work! great ideas also. we had some shell casings way back when we lived by Salisbury plain. those were for assault rifles or machine guns though.
ReplyDeletegreat stuff. with many uses.
Thanks. I have a piece of AK brass and the rest is from hunting rifles.
DeleteHow did you get hold of them? I recently found an old style rifle bullet one of the cone like ones. the type you would see during the US civil war and later. weighty little thing.
Deleteanyway I am interested to see what you can do with those 9mm casings (are you using the casing?)
Casings they are. The pistol and hunting rifle ones were found at a temporal 'range' the locals used, the AK one I got from a show, it was a blank. There were bullets at the same range but it was rocky all around and most of them were badly deformed.
