MIG-15 Restoration #2 - Priming the Red Rocket

I've decided to do this outside because of the fumes and metallic dust.

The screw at the bottom was chopped off with hammer and saw. I've sanded the entire thing and cleaned it with turpentine again. Turpentine smells great in small quantities but can cause headaches in a closed environment.

I prime with Hammerite metal primer. I do this before filling the bubbles and gaps to prevent further corrosion. I can still sand and re-finish the paint later.

The primer dries quite fast, now it's time to get some putty and start working on the surface.
