Workbench

This is how my current workbench looks, with a lot of mixed paints and internet cables and whatnot. The brush&paint holders are of course DIY. The observant may spot some Revell and Humbrol enamels but now acrylics dominate the landscape. The plastic mixer thing with the cups was a flea market bargain and has proven to be useful - I don't have to mix different shades every time I want to paint.

But there are sad news also: I have sold my soul to the devil and went to the GW shop (the only one in Budapest) - to buy weathering pigments. These are Vallejo stuff though so there is hope my soul will be saved.

The other hobby related acquisitions are: white acrylic paint, superglue, 2 SdKfz 251s from Zvezda and a Revell 1/144 Focke-Wulf A8. Slowly there will be place for the infantry too.

In the meantime I am working on a research and the topic is medieval executioners... some nasty stuff I tell ya.

  1. That's sort of a relief but still I'll duly present a sacrifice to the Modeling Gods.

  2. I love to see other peoples work areas always interesting. I shouldn't worry too much about GW, I use the washes all the time!

    1. Thank you; turning to the Great Evil was a last resort as they're the only store who sell this kind of stuff.

  4. That is a very busy workspace and it looks the part! I'm Monty and I too use GW for my washes. Maybe we can start a 12 step group.

I did try to make my own once, honest! (looks at his feet in shame.)

    1. Thanks. That's a pretty good idea. I keep telling myself I won't become addicted.

  5. I used to have the LOTR stuff GW made, though I don't any more and I can't buy their stuff because it cots so much more than everyone else's. I just use cheap acrylics now, cheap and dirty not the best but they have to do.

no worries I think we all have purchased something from them at some point.

    1. Price is a major factor: that's why I buy Zvezda and not PSC; plastics and not metals; and the list goes on. All these comments made me believe my sins will be forgiven.
