1/700 IJN Kongo WIP: Professional Pagoda Planning

When there was some hobby time available, I started sub-assemblies on the Kongo. It comes together much easier than the Trumpeter Bismarck. There still is a lot of filing and scraping involved.

Initially I was sort of afraid of the pagoda mast, but it was not such a challenge as I initially thought. I even added some totally inaccurate photo-etched railings.

Here's some more of the superstructure finished.

The largest modification made was the rear of the tripod, which was sort of a plain piece instead of the real structure full of holes, and the plates at the bottom were missing too. I remedied this with a hot pin and some cardstock and bamboo.
