Barbary Coast pirate ship

As I mentioned in the previous sailing-related post, I love me a good scratchbuild. Which this ship is, 100%. It resembles the Mediterranean Xebec, an elegant and fast ship. Although slightly less elegant, it is compact and ready for use.

The hull's core is plywood, the planks are made from cardstock and decor rubber. The bow is 3mm balsa.

She has ten cannon. The carriages are made from pine wood, the barrels are baked from sculpey. The aft cannons are half-complete and are glued to a block of balsa.

I am currently re-designing the three-mast corvette I've started a while ago. Once it's done, I'll have a mighty fleet indeed.
